Members in Africa and the Caribbean

Courtesy ACASA Membership

Anyone with an interest in the arts of Africa or the African Diaspora is welcome to join ACASA. Courtesy memberships are available to individuals living and working in Africa or the Diaspora for whom it is a financial or bureaucratic difficulty to make payment. Members from Africa and the Diaspora may also opt for regular individual membership if able. Courtesy members must submit membership information as instructed below.


To register online:

  • Click here: submit to send an email to ACASA.
    Include the following membership information:
    • Full Name
    • Institutional affiliation (Institution and Department or Program)
    • Preferred mailing address
    • Preferred phone number
    • Please note if you are a member of the ASA or CAA
    • Please indicate whether you wish to be listed in the Member Directory shared with ACASA members.

To register by mail:

  • Download, print, and complete the Online Membership Form and mail it, along with a check or money order for the appropriate amount to:

Tax deductibility: ACASA is a 501(c) (3) tax-exempt organization. Basic membership rates are not tax deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes; however, they may be tax deductible as business expenses. Donations above the cost of membership may be deductible as charitable contributions to the extent provided by law.
