All participants of the ACASA Conference are expected to adhere to the Anti-Harassment policy of the African Studies Association.

Privacy and Usage Policy

Please remember that all content, images, and data shared by presenters at the ACASA Triennial Conference are intended for presentation only, and are not to be ​captured by photography or other means, recorded, reproduced, or distributed to the public or press. The ACASA is not responsible for unauthorized ​captures, ​recordings, or reproductions, but reserves the right to ban anyone who captures, records​, or reproduces presentations or sessions in part or whole without permission from future ACASA events.

Conference Sessions, pre-recorded and live, featuring presentations by ACASA attendees will be accessible to registered attendees of the Conference only. Sessions will remain accessible online to all registered attendees through the end of June 2021. ​Any capture by photography or other means, recording, or reproduction of presentations, slides, or materials at the ACASA Virtual Triennial—whether expressly ​marked as copyrighted or not—may not be published, reproduced, or distributed. Do not capture by photography or other means, or otherwise record or reproduce any images ​specifically labeled as confidential and/or proprietary​ ​or designated as such for the entirety of a presentation by the presenter at the beginning of a presentation.

Presenters and other attendees at the Conference should also remain aware that as with any online platform or app, the potential exists for governments or other entities to compromise the privacy, reliability, accessibility, and security of, and also to use, any data gleaned through a platform or app for state purposes or other aims.

All presenters are strongly encouraged to add the following disclaimer to any presented materials: Confidential – Do not duplicate or distribute without written permission from [Author Name]. The content of this presentation is proprietary and confidential information of [Author Name]. It is not intended to be distributed to any third party without the written consent of the [Author Name].
