At the 2014 ACASA Triennial, a number of curators shared current labels used in permanent galleries and recent exhibitions at their respective institutions. The labels have been grouped together online as a reference for ACASA members. Colleagues may find the assembled labels useful to compare how different museums organize basic, or ‘tombstone,’ information about an object, as well as how other museums approach the length of text or the use of images.
To see the labels online, visit the DropBox folder: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/pzaxzhuoxdqerm0/AAADNU5xyL3DNYBsy-7GDxuGa?dl=0
If you would like to add your own labels to Dropbox, you would be most welcome. To participate, please send a PDF of the label(s) to Kathryn Gunsch at kgunsch@mfa.org
